A cup half empty or a cup half full? Promoting depth and breadth to culture on a small island....
Despite the size of the islands, there is still much to savour in what can loosely be grouped as the ‘culture and arts’ scene in Malta. Just a scan of many of our features or our What’s On listings shows a veritable cauldron of music, theatre, dance, opera, art and whatever is ‘in-between’, vibrant and makes us human.
Tomorrow, the new National Cultural Policy for Malta is being launched at St James Cavalier in Valletta. The milestone is being marked by discussion panels and snippets of music and theatre. Things kick off at 10 am and you can see the programme here.
The Ministry of Culture is reaching out and asking for feedback on the policy, which for the time being remains in draft format as a consultation document. You can download a copy of the Cultural Policy and provide your feedback on this site.
